2025 & Things to Come
I am knee deep in the artist life now and have entered the phase where there is so much happening that this website here has gone to the back burner. That being said, i am carving out some time to write a blog post and update any fine folks who have stumbled this way! I ended up wrapping up my 2024 a little burnt out. A good and bad thing to be. Good because it meant I have been busy with art, but bad because, well, burn out. Fortunately, the flu and an unusual Savannah snow storm gave me some forced down time and now I am ready to take on 2025.
My First Installation Piece!
The first thing I got around to doing this year was another installation over at Green Truck Pub! I was invited by Arts South East to be the next artist featured in the Drive Thru Art Box which is around back of Green Truck. I had a tight timeline to complete the installation but I fortunately had been sitting on this idea for a while and had been collecting the materials I would need for it, I just needed a reason to do it. The Drive Thru Art Box is the old drive thru menu from when Green Truck used to be the chain Krispy Chik (and before that, a restaurant called Wassaw Sound). Green Truck doesn’t need a drive thru menu but the idea came to make it a mini gallery. Displaying art since 2012, the space provides a unique opportunity for site specific installations. I recreated three scenes from around Savannah using salvaged materials (also from around Savannah). IThe display will be up through April 8th and I will have an artist talk in April. Hope to see you there!

A Duet of Savannah Art
After wrapping up my installation for the Drive Thru Art Box, I have been preparing for an upcoming show at Location Gallery with fellow artist Tate Ellington. Tate and I both do work that celebrates Savannah, but our work is very different! Our show is called “Home” and we each are painting scenes from around Savannah in our own unique style. Some spots we are both painting, but mostly we are painting scenes that we feel represent Savannah. Tate was born and raised in Savannah and her work is bold and colorful. Most my inspiration comes from riding my bike around town at night, so there should be quite a contrast in colors for our two styles. We will each display 12 works. Opening night is Friday, February 21 from 6-8 PM and Tate and I will both be there to talk about our work and celebrate Savannah.
HOME, Opening February 21st at Location Gallery

I’m in a museum!
I’m excited to share that two of my paintings are currently on display at the Booth Museum located in Cartersville, GA. If you find yourself in north Georgia and want to check it out, please take photo for me! The show is up until March 2nd and I haven’t had a chance to make my way up there. This is my first time showing in a museum and I was thrilled to be included. The show will travel down to Savannah later in the spring and be on view at the Jepson Center. I will update this post once they have released the exhibition dates.
“Southern Pine” is one of the two paintings of mine that are traveling with the GA Color Plein Air exhibit up at the Booth Museum and soon to be at the Jepson

What’s Next?
I am really excited that I have two live wedding paintings on the books for 2025! As my work continues to focus on the here and now, live painting continues to be a format of art making that brings me a lot of joy. I will be sure to share more about those experiences later this year.
I will also have two shows later in the year that I am excited about. I will be combining forces with Maxx Fiest and Isak Dove for a group show reflecting the times in our own unique voices. This show will be in August at Gallery 2424 and I will have more details as we get closer. I will also be preparing for my own solo show at Cute Tomatoes Gallery. This new gallery by Phil Musen is meant to showcase Savannah artists and I am thrilled for the opportunity to create a cohesive body of work for his space.
